Finishing up (but really just beginning) my conversation with my current personal therapist Kathy Bates!! I appreciate the real, raw, hard conversation we are having here. I believe if more people shared their story that others wouldn't feel so alone and therefore internally isolate and fall into depression or worse. We need each other! We need community, relationships, fellowship, and more. We were wired for it, we thrive in it. I'm sorry if you had people hurt and betray you, I know what that feels like. In fact, I still get waves of anxiety before meeting new people, especially if there will be a crowd. It feels like annoyance, irritation, and that I'm better than them but underneath the shell and facade, I just want to be accepted, and what if I'm not good enough or ........ you know. I share this to say, no matter what you have endured, you can heal, there is hope, and God is for you.
